After my grandmother (who will remain anonymous) was completely mistreated by this company I knew I had to do something. When I researched a bit I found a lot of home owners who were very disappointed with Charleston Homes and their new structure. But they were afraid to speak out. So I in turn created this blog. Please understand some were not willing to give their name and I totally understand and respect that, so for that reason some of the reviews are signed "Anonymous". Thank you for reading and I hope you were not one of their victims.

It's quite funny and ironic how so many people think that this Avi character is a real Douche and yet look at his last name. In all reality both these idiots are dispicable and down right appauling in the way they treat their customers. “I actually heard they were bankrupt, and this guy Avi comes and make it sound like he’s capable of building a home for you. Really bad person. I wouldn’t trust him. Their payment structure is ridiculous. They build a house with your money, they don’t pay their subs until the house is completely done. I’ve never seen this before and I’m a general contractor. Usually a builder will take a percentage NOT deposits. After these large deposits, they still don’t pay their subs, cabinetry, flooring, carpet, paint, etc. until the house is close to being complete or sometimes even sold. This tells you that this builder is broke."

“We bought a house from Jeff. He was very professional also the old staff was very friendly. But the experience was hell. We moved in to a house that was not what we paid for. They had to redo our entire main floor mind you we were living in the house with two little kids. Imagine construction workers inside your house while you’re living in it everyday for months. And the landscaping that we paid in full was not even done (over 100k btw). It took a few years for us to settle down, thank God we had the old staff to deal with they were great. But the new guys . . . sorry but, no way I’ll buy a house from them again. NO thanks!"

“my brother was going to buy a lot from them he met with Jeff at the time and they were Supposed to meet the week after to sign the deal instead he got a phone call saying that he passed so my brother got called by Avi and met with my brother, he didn’t sit well with him seeing these comments now I know what my brother felt Thank God he didn’t . “I was one of the Traders. It’s amazing how broke these guys are. They wouldn’t give me my money unless they close the house. I’ve worked for more than 10 builders, when I sign a project, I would take 50% deposit and upon completion I would take the balance. Never waited 11 months to get my money. Ridiculous. "

“We met with Avi, he is so weird. He started talking about his wife and kids and how faithful he is. After we left their office, my husband said “what was that all about, I went to buy a house not his family. He just seemed very fake."

“Yes we bought our house from the old Charleston. There were some out standing items and the old staff told us that they were fired by Avi and Jonas. My husband emailed them, we never heard from them for over a month. Then Avi knocks on our door trying to Promote another lot for us!!
We were shocked! We told him we just bought this house, we haven’t even settled down. What are you talking about? We are happy with where we are but there are some outstanding items that need to be fixed my husband. He assured us it would be done and we are still waiting for him to fix them. This was before Christmas 2019."

“We moved in to a house, but I really need a bottle of alcohol to share our experience with you all.
We purchased our house when Jennifer was around. In the middle of the construction the owner passed away we got a general email.
Long story short, our house was delayed 4 months but we already sold our house, and the new people who bought our house sold theirs, so we didn’t know what do.
We got an another email saying that we are closing down the company and a few months later we got another email saying we are back in business. This is when we meet Avi for the first time. We lost so much money. We had to put our stuff in storage and this is in the winter months with a new baby and now behind 2 months.
When we meet Avi, he didn’t even care. Instead he said, if we don’t close, we will be in trouble because we have an agreement. My wife was crying. She told him this was not our fault. He then opens the agreement and points at something to do with death. They were covered from all angles. Er were just shocked at his cold and evil demeanor. Never come across people like this. Don’t buy a house from Avi or Jonas."

They wouldn’t shake my Fiancés-hands due to their religion which I totally respect. But my question is, if you are that strict with your religion, you should be very honest with people at the same time and not screw them over every chance you get."

“I was working with Jeff and the old staff, I’ll be honest, I didn’t feel I had a boss. He was a great guy. He did his very best to make all the homeowners happy. Everything he promised, he delivered. I was very comfortable and looking forward to my job. It’s sad what happened to this company. There is no way the new guys will give the same quality of construction and customer care. I knew Jonas was at the time cleaning the office and I didn’t wanna be around him. “We Purchased a house from Jeff White, he was good we had a few issues with our house very minor stuff. After 30 days, most of the stuff was fixed with great customer service. He personally followed up with everything. We got a basket full of goods as a welcome package to the neighborhood, it was nice. “We met with Jeff in 2014. Very professional. We had a call from him personally offering to build for us on our land, but because my son in-law is a builder of course we told him no thanks. We live in a small town and everyone knows everyone. I have heard a lot of bad things about Avi and Jonas. Shame on you both."
